Broadside Cafe Restaurant Menu

Broadside Cafe an roadside diner located in the beautiful city of Pacific Cove California.  The diner was looking for menu design that would capture the cities feel. After doing research and learning what makes the city of Pacific Cove of Unique. I found out that the city had a monarch butterfly sanctuary and every year the purple ice plant bloom in the spring.  I chose to use those two facts about the city to design a menu that brought those two attractions together. Instead of using purple for the flowers and orange and black for the butterflies, I went in a different direction by using shades of pink and blue. I thought that these colors gave the feel of an oceanside community.  I chose to use hand-drawn script fonts paired with serif font. I used a 2 column design for the menu, while placing the butterflies and flowers around the  menu to give it the feel of a butterfly sanctuary, and the process of pollination by the butterflies.The menu capture the city of Pacific grove while also being able to have an eye catching easy to read menu.
