Surf Rodz Summer Sale Design

Surf Rodz is an East Coast LongBoard Truck company based in Seymour, Connecticut. They sought promotional emails and social media post designs to promote their Summer sale. Surf Rodz wanted a promotional design that felt like summer while capturing the brand’s identity. Using images supplied by the company, I chose an image with a model in front of a wall holding longboard in from a flower mural. I then used a blue hue layer to the image to give it a tropical feel; I chose to add shapes, specifically turquoise circles, to hold the information of when and what the summer sale was. I decided to use a typography with a clear serif font. To add personality to the design, I enlarged the first letters of each word. I centered the Summer Sale directly on top of the image. I then used a Bold Sans serif font for the promotional code so it stood out on the page. Once I had the design down, I created three different-sized promotional ads for emails and social media posts.  Surf Rods loved the design and used the Summer Sale Promotional email and ads.
