“No Name In The Streets” By James Baldwin
This book cover design is reimagined for the classic James Baldwin novel "No Name in the Streets." I created a design that best represented the title of the book. For the book's cover, I designed a first-person view of a city street corner, with a building in the background and a utility pole in the foreground, with the book's title on the one-way street signs and James Baldwin's name on the street signs. For the back cover and spine, I used a brick wall design. I used white for the font color of the book's title on the spine and the book reviews on the back cover. For the inside flaps, I used a yellow background that was color matched to a pedestrian walking to lighten the cover. I used multiple fonts in this design, Market Pro, Futura PT Cond, Market Felt, and Arial.
