Nobody Knows My Name By James Baldwin

This book cover design is reimagined for the classic James Baldwin novel "Nobody Knows My Name." I created a design that best represented the subject of the book. For the front cover, I decided to design a scene from a protest. The main focus of the cover is a child protesting amongst other protestors with a sign above his head that reads the title while another protest sign reads the author's name. For the back cover, I created a frame around the book reviews. The frame was the book's title in a red and black pattern. For the spine, I used a black background with the book's title in red and the name author and publisher in white. I used black, white, and red for the book flaps. I used red for the title and name of the author while using white for the body copy. I used a minimal approach to color by only using black white, red, and grey. I used the fonts Market Pro Cond Medium and Marker Felt Thin for the typography.
